HISTORY

Over four decades KROKUS has been a household name in rock history all over the world.

For most of you the focus will always be on the productive phase in the early eighties. And yet all work produced by KROKUS - like a puzzle - is important in some way and contributed to the sum of it all: 3 Decades Of KROKUS.

Whereas one can argue the relevance of less known KROKUS musicians over the last 4 decades and their impact on the name and/or image of "KROKUS", it is important to recognize Fernando's unwavering commitment to keep the KROKUS name alive over the years and Marc carrying on the torch in the last phase before the reunion. Without the contribution of each musician that ever played in the KROKUS line-up at their particular time and place in KROKUS history, KROKUS would have been categorized by music historians as "has been's" and KROKUS (like the flower of its name sake) would have wilted away slowly but surely.

The "HISTORY" pages are the place where old fans can reminisce and go back in time to remember an event or a special moment that involved a KROKUS song or concert and created a "snap shot" highlight at that "magical" moment for the rest of their lives. It could be a first date, proposing to a loved one, a special birthday, anniversary or a vacation memory. It's yours for the taking. And to keep that magic moment in your heart and soul. It's also a place where new fans of the band can get a lesson in KROKUS history to get them up to speed.

Over the years KROKUS has been criticized in the press many times in reference to the "continuos carrousel" of line-up changes. We want to put a positive spin on the events that took place since KROKUS was formed in 1975. If you follow the "chronological" time line within the "History" pages, you will gain a better understanding why those changes were necessary in order for KROKUS to carry on.

And as we speak, history is in the making and a new chapter begins......
