2005 - 2008
2013 - Now

Originally born in Canada, Mandy moved at the tender age of 2 years old to Switzerland. Prior to joining KROKUS, he also played in bands like Asia, Cobra, Katmandu and Gotthard.

In fact, Mandy joined KROKUS three times. His first encounter was in 1981, when original member Tommy Kiefer decided to call it quits and ceremonially handed over the duties as lead guitarist to then 19-year old Mandy. He extensively toured worldwide with KROKUS in support of the "Hardware" tour, but never recorded during that time period. Originally he played lead guitar and as Fernando wanted to play more and more lead, he switched towards the end of that tenure to rhythm guitar. When the band decided to continue more in the vein of Van Halen as a four-piece band, he left.

In 2005 Fernando Von Arb retired due to health reasons and Marc Storace approached Mandy to join the band. The two had stayed in touch over the years. Mandy toured the USA in support of "Rock The Block" and contributed 4 songs to his first KROKUS recordings for the 2006 "Hellraiser" release. Extensive touring between 2006 and early 2008 followed, covering more then 20 countries during that time. He played his last concert as a KROKUS band member in Gozo/Malta on February 2nd, 2008.

Mandy formed with Andy Portmann the "Meyer-Portmann" project ( and premiered "live" in November of 2008. Andy Portmann recorded with ex-Krokus Many Maurer, Tony Castell and Peter Haas under the band name "Ain't Dead Yet".

Mandy's next adventure led him to join German metal band "Unisonic" and they released in 2012 their first self-titled CD, followed by a tour throughout Europe, Asia and South America. Due to some band members of Unisonic having other engagements in 2013, it was perfect timing for Mandy to re-join for a third time KROKUS. He still is a member of Unisonic and also of KROKUS (as both bands are managed by the same company, there is no conflict).

February 23rd, 2013, Sony Music released "Dirty Dynamite". The CD was produced again by Chris Von Rohr. Vocals were recorded at London's Abbey Road Studios, hence the Beatles cover song "Help".
