At 6.30 a.m. the wake up call to my hotel room shook me to my feet and I dived straight under the shower! Not very rock'n'roll but the best way to wake up my bio-system. I was down drinking coffeee in the lobby in time for the 7.30 a.m. pick-up by my old swiss friend and ex-manager, now an established Denver resident, Peter Waelti alias "the Peter Grant of Switzerland" of the 70's. ... with sleepy eyes and surprised to be already awake :-)

Our "live" breakfast session with Lewis and Floorwax at "The Fox" went better than expected on that cool Denver morning. I'm not used to waking my vocal chords prior to 3.00 p.m.for soundchecks, and here I was belting it all out at breakfast time! All in all I think it must have been the coolest hospitality of the two great showmasters that allowed us to find the energy to perform before the Buffalo even strolled onto the Colorado pastures!
