EX-KROKUS DANI CRIVELLI R.I.P.
We are saddened to report to you that our ex-Krokus drummer Dani Crivelli passed away. Our sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.
Also a native of Solothurn, Switzerland, Dani (far left) joined KROKUS in 1987, replacing Jeff Klaven. You can listen to him on the band's 1988 HEART ATTACK release that included KROKUS staples like "Rock'n'Roll Tonight" and "Wild Love". He always kept in contact with the band over the years. We liked his straight forward, but true words about music and life. He will be missed but will keep on drumming in Rock'n'Roll heaven!

THANK YOU GERMANY!!!
KROKUS "Dirty Dynamite" #17 Chart position in the Official Media Control Album Charts in the first week of release
Germany is the 3rd largest music market after the USA and Japan these days. It is the first time in KROKUS' history that the band charts in the " Top 20" of the German charts. Get your CD or Vinyl copy of "Dirty Dynamite" on amazon.de [click on picture for link] and we thank you for all your support!
The German edition of "Rolling Stone" magazine reviewed the new album and had this to say: «Here they are again, these percussive perfectly timed, precise riffs», it says. «And Storace still roars after all these years like the late Bon Scott.»

"DIRTY DYNAMITE" RELEASED TODAY - This is what the German Press had to say:
Blues, Rock´n´Roll, Heavy Metal - alles da.
SLAM: „Party Hard With An Emmentaler!“ 8/10

KROKUS ROCK ABBEY ROAD STUDIOS
After decades in the music biz a dream comes true: KROKUS record at the legendary Abbey Road Studios
It is without doubt the most famous recording studio in the world. Here it is where the Beatles created and recorded classics like «Come Together», «Hey Jude», «Lady Madonna» und «She Loves You». The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and Oasis recorded here many of their greatest hits: the Abbey Road Studios in London. For the last two weeks KROKUS worked feverishly on their follow-up album to "Hoodoo" in these «hallow halls of rock music», as vocalist Marc Storace calls it.
The Swiss rockers record here songs for their new CD «Dirty Dynamite». The album is slated to be released February 22nd, 2013. «The nights were long and extremely creative, it was totally worh the effort», adds bassist and producer Chris von Rohr. «For us a lifelong dream has come true», adds Storace.
As Switzerland's most successful hard rock band, KROKUS sold more than 13 million albums in a career that spanned over almost forty years time. In the past they recorded their albums in Los Angeles, New York, Toronto or Zurich. After well publicized quarrels eventually the originals broke up and in 2008 the originals finally reunited. The comeback-CD «Hoodoo» shot straight to #1 in the charts of their native Switzerland.
Now the ambitious rockers want to surpass their successes of the past. «This album could possibly become our masterpiece. Pure, dirty, in your face hard rock with some blues-elements. We've been taking the time it needs to work on songs and melodies and to constantly fine-tune them at the place that offered us the maximum inspiration», explains Von Rohr.
«We wanted to take in the vibe at the birthplace of modern rock music», comments Storace. «It is a unique feeling to return to the place where it all started.» Both rave that this place is full of memories, the ghost of John Lennon present everywhere.
«The magical ambiance inspires us, it's like additional doping for our creativity», beams Marc. That was the main reason why they decided to record at Abbey Road Studios in London. «We return to our roots.»
As the Beatles' 1969 «Abbey Road» album was their last official recording, will «Dirty Dynamite» be the last official album for KROKUS? Chris von Rohr: «That only the (rock) Gods know! »

JAPAN WAS HOTTER THAN HOT!
KROKUS has sold more than 13 million albums worldwide and toured all over the world, and although one of their biggest hits is called "Tokyo Nights", they never played Japan up to now. That changed last Saturday, when KROKUS played in front of 37,000 Japanese fans at the Loudpark festival, the largest one in all of Japan, just outside of Tokyo.
"Japan was out of this world, simply unbelievable!", reports bassist and producer Chris Von Rohr. Upon arrival in Tokyo, the band was greeted by their greatest Japanese fan, who had waited for decades to have his KROKUS album collection signed by the band. "It was touching. He said this was the happiest day in his life", adds Marc Storace. And while strolling the streets of Tokyo, Switzerland's #1 rock export was asked for autographs by a great number of female fans. "We communicated with hand signs, because besides 'sushi' and 'sayonara' we did not understand much", jokes Chris Von Rohr. And adds:"throughout the nuclear catastrophe of Fukushima and thereafter they kept smiling, that really impressed us."
During the concert the Japanese fans sang along right from the start. Chris Von Rohr: "It was absolutely awesome! Promoter Creativeman wants us back in Japan as soon as possible."

KROKUS ROCK JAPAN
World premiere of a Swiss band at Japan's largest rock festival. "A dream come true" comments excited vocalist Marc Storace.
October 15th, Switzerland's #1 export in rock will rock over 37,000 Japanese fans at Saitama Super Arena just outside of Tokyo.
"Rock against nuclear waste - we are ready to rock!", adds bassist and producer Chris Von Rohr. Other acts besides KROKUS include Whitesnake and Limp Bizkit.
KROKUS take a break in between songwriting for their next cd (tentatively to be released beginning of 2013) especially for this festival gig in Japan.
KROKUS are stoked to play this particular festival, as Japanese fans had to wait a long time to see KROKUS live and up close (for some).
And guitarist Mark Kohler promises: "Tokyo Nights" will be a must on our set list and it is an honor for us to rock the Japanese nation".

IN THE SPIRIT OF THE SEASON, KROKUS GIVE BACK TO THE CHILDREN OF THE WORLD
Chris Von Rohr: “The suffering of millions of kids on this planet is ultimately a failure on our part! Children are our future and all of us have a responsibility to come up with ways to help and support more than ever the ones that are incapable of helping themselves, the weakest of this world – each one of us in their own unique way!”
KROKUS wish you a graceful, peaceful and happy Holiday celebration – A wham baba luba bam boom!”

Ab 3. Dezember bringen KROKUS wieder Schweizer Hallen zum Toben: “Genial, dass wir fuer unsere Schweizer Fans nochmals nachladen koennen”, meinte Bassist Chris Von Rohr. “Die Kroenung eines genialen Jahres”.
Auszuege von zwei der groessten Deutschen Musik Magazine ueber KROKUS am diesjaehrigen “Bang Your Head” Festival in Balingen:
METAL HAMMER
Eigentlich haetten KROKUS heute headlinen koennen, denkt so mancher.

THIS IS WHAT THEIR PEERS HAD TO SAY:
LEMMY (MOTöRHEAD):
"Krokus toured with us in the US in 1982 and I found them to be a fine young lot of loonies full of vim and foolishness! I know the reunion works well for them and good luck with the new album"
ALICE COOPER: "Everybody knows, KROKUS rules. Rock on, boys!" (574 KB, MP3) GENE SIMMONS (KISS): "Great that the guys are back!"
OZZY OSBOURNE: "Unkraut vergeht nicht. Welcome back, boys!"
Krokus sind the greatest Swiss rock’n’roll band in the world"
